Artist's Comments

The original fabric was that scratchy industrial fabric in a very dull blue, and I'd had the bamboo print fabric sitting in my stash for forever and a day since I'd rescued it from the remnant bin on a whim. It's a printed mid-weight cotton, so it wears well, though I have already dropped food on it.

This is the project I had to obtain both a staplegun and a gluegun for, both of which were totally worth it even before I posed with them for my Facebook profile photo just to show off what a giant craft nerd I am.

The back of the chair is plain black fabric, and the line where the fabric is all stapled on is covered by the black-and-white ribbon which I rescued on a different whim from the Michaels discount ribbon bin.

Fabulous chair! If office furniture was sold with gorgeous fabric like this I would totally buy it.
